At the LAEV wiki, you can contribute to the dialogue about
your experiences with us and visions for LAEV and your own neighborhoods.  If you've never participated on a wiki before,
no problem.  See easy instructions on the wiki site.

LAEV CORE VALUES:

-  Celebrate & include joy in all our endeavors

-  Take responsibility for each other & the planet through local environmental & social action.

-  Learn from nature & live ecologically.

-  Build a dynamic community through diversity & cooperation

-  Inspire compassionate, nurturing, & respectful relationships

-  Create balanced opportunities for individual participation & collective steward

-  Engage our neighbors and broader communities in mutual dialog to  learn, teach and act

An ecovillage is
human scale, has mixed land uses, strives to close the waste to resource loops, supports healthy human development, has multiple centers of initiative, and can be successfully continued into the indefinite future
-Robert Gilman

Most groups that call themselves ecovillages are striving toward these goals but are far from fully manifesting them.  This definition is the  common vision of ecovillages worldwide.
